The Story Behind Assyrian Threads

Assyrian Threads was born from a journey—both literal and personal.

In April 2025, Thomas Oshana traveled to Iraq with Gishru, an experience that reconnected him with his Assyrian roots in a deeply profound way. Surrounded by the land, the people, and the culture, Thomas felt a powerful calling: to build something meaningful for his community.

Back home in Toronto, Canada, Thomas was already the founder of Build & Grow—a full-service marketing agency specializing in custom merchandise, e-commerce, and social media. With years of experience helping others build their brands, he realized it was time to build something of his own for his people.

And so, Assyrian Threads was created—a modern apparel brand rooted in heritage, designed to help Assyrians proudly showcase their identity, culture, and history through high-quality, thoughtfully crafted merchandise.
